Bronx Zoo World Elephant Day Weekend

This year for World Elephant Day, let’s trample the current Guinness World Records™ title of 33,764 and create 35,000 origami elephants to honor those lost each year for their ivory.

DJ Ecotone, the creator and host of the web and television series WILD BEATS on National Geographic Kids and Nat Geo Wild, will be joining us for the fun. Stop by Dancing Crane Plaza at 12, 1, and 3 p.m. to enjoy original music made from all natural sounds, including wild elephant calls, and his own voice as a beatboxer. Of course, we’ll need your help making origami elephants. Stop by to join the fun, for a great cause– elephants!
