World Elephant Day on August 12th presents a special opportunity to advocate for Lucy!
Please JOIN US at Edmonton’s City Hall for a peaceful demonstration to bring attention to Lucy’s plight and the urgency for her to have an unbiased, independent expert health assessment and if possible, transfer to a warmer-climate US sanctuary.
We are hoping for a HUGE turnout in Edmonton to send a strong message to Edmonton’s Mayor and City Council! Please attend and S*H*A*R*E this event, and invite your friends using the button at the top right! We’ll also issue a press release and are available for media interviews.

On August 12, 2012, the inaugural World Elephant Day was launched to bring attention to the urgent plight of Asian and African elephants. The elephant is loved, revered and respected by people and cultures around the world, yet we balance on the brink of seeing the last of this magnificent creature.

This event is a collaboration between Friends of Lucy and Lucy’s Edmonton Advocates’ Project (LEAP). We’re proudly registering this demonstration as a World Elephant Day event.
