Who is organizing World Elephant Day? World Elephant Day is an international initiative supported by the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation  and co-founded by Patricia Sims; Producer and Director of Canazwest Pictures Inc

Why a World Elephant Day? World Elephant Day was created to tell the world about the worsening plight of Asian and African elephants. Poaching, habitat loss, human-elephant conflict are just some of the issues threatening the world’s elephants. World Elephant Day will raise awareness of these issues and encourage the global community to work together to support the conservation of these magnificent creatures.

What is happening on World Elephant Day? To celebrate the first World Elephant Day we are premiering our documentary Return to the Forest on our website.

How can I get involved? There are many ways you get contribute to World Elephants Day!
