Our Trunkfuls of Art competition was launched in celebration of World Elephant Day 2021.
We asked creatives from all over the world to create a piece of art inspire by HERD (Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development), using any method or material that they like. Entrants were required to donate a small entry fee, to submit their art work. All proceeds of the competition will go towards our rescued herd of elephants.
Our dedicated team of elephant carers have selected their favourite artworks, and the winners will be announced today on World Elephant day at 14:00 CAT.
The idea behind the art competition is get participants involved from all walks of life, ages and generate awareness on elephants and the importance of conserving them for future generations to come.
